Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of REQ — a tool that lets a DJ receive song requests from their audience during a live set. By creating a REQ account, showing your QR code, or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms. REQ is operated by Erwan André, entrepreneur individuel (auto-entrepreneur) opérant sous le nom commercial « DirtyLab », SIRET 788 503 225 00039, 58 rue Césaria Evora, 75019 Paris, France("REQ", "we", "our").

1 · The service

A DJ displays a QR code. An audience member ("requester") scans it, submits a track request from a web page, and attaches an amount. The DJ accepts or skips the request from the REQ mobile app. REQ is a technical intermediary that routes requests and processes payments through Stripe — it is not a music licensing service and does not guarantee that any track will be played.

2 · Payments, authorisation & capture

  • When a requester submits a request, their card is authorised but not charged. The amount is captured only if the DJ accepts.
  • If the DJ declines, or does not respond within 20 minutes, the authorisation is cancelled and the requester is never charged.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. REQ acts as the merchant of record for the transaction; the net amount (after fees) is transferred to the DJ's connected Stripe account.

3 · Fees

REQ retains a service fee of 20% of each accepted request to cover payment processing and infrastructure. The remainder is paid out to the DJ by Stripe. The fee may change with notice on this page.

4 · DJ obligations

  • Complete Stripe Connect onboarding (identity verification and bank details are handled by Stripe).
  • You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any tax on the income you receive.
  • You decide which requests to accept. You must not use REQ for unlawful content or activity.
  • You are responsible for the device and account you use to manage requests.

5 · Requester terms & refunds

By submitting a request, you authorise the amount shown and agree it is captured only if the DJ accepts. Because an accepted request is a service performed immediately with your consent, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply once the DJ has accepted. If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us at contact@dirtylab.fr and we will review it in good faith. Chargebacks are handled in accordance with Stripe's dispute process.

6 · Disclaimers & liability

REQ is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that a DJ will accept any request, or that an accepted track will be played. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount of the service fee we received on the relevant transaction.

7 · Termination

You may stop using REQ and request deletion of your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access in case of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.

8 · Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
